Employment Services in Connecticut

Connecticut funds employment through individual budgets set by need, pays high hourly rates with one-time incentives, and keeps a binding abuse and neglect registry.

The three biggest differences

  1. Budgets follow a Level of Need score. Providers qualify through DDS in quarterly application windows.
  2. Hourly rates and one-time incentives. Benchmark payments at job start, 3, 6 and 12 months; Customized Employment paid by deliverable.
  3. A registry that bars hiring. No one listed on the DDS Abuse and Neglect Registry may be hired or kept.
